DEWITT, N.Y. - A year after getting knocked out of the playoffs in the first round on its home field to Watertown, the top-seeded Jamesville-DeWitt football team got revenge and then some with a 49-0 rout of the No. 8 Cyclones in the first round of the Section III Class A playoffs on Thursday night.
The Red Rams, who beat Watertown by 35 points to end the regular season, did most of their damage on the ground with Rasheed Baker rushing 20 times for 164 yards and two touchdowns and Josiah Williams racking up 149 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries.
Jamesville-DeWitt advances to play either East Syracuse-Minoa or Whitesboro in the semifinals.
