SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse dropped its first game of the season this past Saturday and because of the loss, took a hit in the weekly national rankings.

As expected, the Orange dropped six spots in this week's Associated Press Men’s College Basketball Poll. After Saturday's loss to Temple, their first loss of the season, Syracuse fell from 3rd to 9th.

The 10-1 Orange play their next game this Saturday against Alcorn State at the Carrier Dome.
