Three-star quarterback recruit Zach Allen told YNN this past Wednesday he was still committed to playing at Syracuse University despite the recent coaching changes. But on Saturday afternoon, just two days before he was set to begin taking classes on campus, he changed his mind and will instead play for Texas Christian University.

Allen, who is a Texas native, announced his decision on Twitter with this statement: "I committed to TCU. I had been loyal the whole time and have done everything I could for Cuse. They changed the deal with coaches leaving." Because Allen never signed a National Letter of Intent due to his plan to enroll before the signing period begins on February 6 he was able to decommit without any penalty.

Syracuse still has another three-star quarterback recruit verbally committed to wearing orange, Austin Wilson from Pennsylvania, as well as several returning quarterbacks hoping to fill the cleats of the graduating Ryan Nassib.
