SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Needing to make a move up the standings as the home stretch of the regular season approaches, the Syracuse Silver Knights instead suffered a 14-12 overtime defeat to powerhouse Baltimore on Friday in the first of four-straight games against the Blast.

Syracuse is now in last place in the seven-team MISL at 6-12 but is only 1.5 games out of fourth, which is the final playoff spot, with eight games remaining. The teams play again at the War Memorial Sunday starting at 1:30 p.m.
