HARTFORD, Conn. - Syracuse native Breanna Stewart racked up 20 points and six rebounds against her hometown team on Saturday as No. 3 UConn beat the Orange 87-62.

Syracuse (15-2 overall, 3-1 Big East) was greatly hampered by leading scorer Kayla Alexander being in foul trouble throughout the game and only managing four points in 11 minutes. Her absence was especially felt on the defensive side as it gave UConn (16-1, 4-1) a clear height advantage which the Huskies exploited for 32 points in the paint.

The Huskies have now beaten the Orange 20-straight times. Syracuse's last victory in the series was Jan. 2, 1996.
