SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Prior to their inaugural season two years ago the Syracuse Silver Knights found starting goalie Bryan O'Quinn through an open tryout combine. This past weekend the team was hoping to find some more unknown talent as it gets ready for its third campaign in the Major Indoor Soccer League.
About 30 players showed up for the two-day event at the CNY Family Sports Centre, hailing from as near as Syracuse to as far as Brazil. Head coach Tommy Tanner said he was hoping to fill at least a couple of the six or so roster openings through the combine.
The Silver Knights kick off the 2013-14 season in mid-November.
