Week 3 Training: Pauline Lynch Shostack
This week I am in transition to my summer part-time work schedule. It is making it much easier to schedule my workouts around my husband's workouts. I am looking forward to following the training schedule as written and not having to make constant adjustments.
I successfully completed all the training sessions, but I did have some minor issues with training this week. The swim clinic was one of those days I decided to do the run that I couldn't fit on the previous day. I didn't realize that I would be so tired from the run that it would affect my ability to focus and correct my form while I swam. I definitely won't double-up my training sessions like that again.
The bike clinic overall went well, but my stress level was extremely high the entire time we were out riding on the streets near Carousel Mall. I have to say though, that the coaches were great and made sure we were all safe and alert. The issues that came up this week were good learning experiences that I will remember in the weeks to come, but don't expect to see me voluntarily riding my bike near any mall anytime soon.
