Training Week 11: Elisabeth Berson
This week involved some increased pace running, my first triathlon with CNY Tri Club and my first solo swim in which I pushed myself, the entire time, without stopping.
Suffice to say I wanted to sleep in very late after the Wednesday night triathlon but was totally busting up laughing when recalling the giant, wild-eyed, long horned bull my friend, Aaron, and I saw while half way through the 10 mile bike portion of the triathlon.
Mid-triathlon, I almost wiped out twice but was educated by a volunteer who was at the half-way point of bike leg: "Your front tire's soft!", he shouted. Boy, was he right!
The Bikery is repairing my tire while I channel a renewed focus and energy into maintaining more calm while tiring during the swim. A calm me = an easier breathing me, which in turn helps keep that all too familiar 'panic in the water feeling' at bay!
The countdown begins...
