SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse University lacrosse team is loaded with talent for the 2009 season with guys like Abbott, Hardy and Nims, just to name a few. But local lacrosse fans with see some familiar new names on the roster, too. Guys like Ryan Barber from West Genesee, who was high school teammates with starting goalie, John Galloway. Also, Steven Ianzito from C-NS joins in the team after coming off major knee surgery in his senior year with the Northstars.

There are also three defenders who all played their high school lax in Central New York. And the new guys are itching to make their mark when given the chance.

The Orange will host a scrimmage on the 29th against Hofstra and LeMoyne in the Dome.
