VESTAL, N.Y. -- A month after capping off their best season ever, the BU basketball team is bracing for a big loss. Leading scorer DJ Rivera has decided to declare himself eligible for this year's NBA draft. Coach Kevin Broadus says he won't hire an agent, though, which would allow him to come back for his senior season.

Rivera helped carry the Bearcats to a 23 win season and a first-ever trip to the NCAA tournament in his first year at the school. Leading the team in scoring at 20 points game, DJ also led the team in steals and was second in rebounding and probably should have been named the America East player of the year.

Rivera has until June 15th to change his mind and pull his name out of consideration.
