BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Senior Josh Patterson set a new Binghamton University wrestling record with his 113th career victory Thursday night, pinning American's Phillip Barreiro in 20 seconds in the 174-pound weight class.

Patterson, ranked No. 13 in the country in NCAA Division III, is now 113-29 in his BU career, surpassing Mark Gumble's previous wins record set between 1984 and 1988.

Patterson's record-breaking win was not enough for the team to win, however, as American took six of the 10 bouts to win 21-16. The Bearcats are now 9-6-1 overall.
