SYRACUSE - With lingering speculation as to whether the Big Ten will go after multiple Big East teams in its expansion efforts, including Syracuse University, SU alumnus and ESPN broadcaster Sean McDonough is hoping the Orange stays where it is.

Speaking at a Chiefs game Friday night, McDonough says he hopes SU and the other Big East powers remain in the conference because of the long-standing rivalries that exist and, for admittedly personal reasons, he enjoys calling ESPN's Big East games including the Big East tournament.

The Big Ten, which has 11 member schools, is examining expanding so it can have at least the required 12 football teams needed to hold an annual conference championship game, which would be a huge revenue boost.
