SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Two days after losing in the Elite Eight, Syracuse guard Dion Waiters says he will take his talents to the NBA.
In a statement released by the University, Waiters said he has decided to pursue his dream of becoming a professional basketball player and will be entering his name in the draft this spring. Waiters says he plans to sign with an agent.
The sophomore was named the Big East sixth man of the year this year and helped lead the Orange to a 34-win season.
"I've decided to pursue my dream of becoming a professional basketball player by entering my name in the NBA Draft this spring. I plan on signing with an agent.
