SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse field hockey team's 1-0 win over then-No. 2 North Carolina this past weekend vaulted the Orange to that spot in this week's poll, but the Orange is not about to get high on itself just three games into the season.
Despite the result, a 1-0 win in overtime, the Tar Heels actually moved up to No. 1 in the poll, something SU head coach Ange Bradley admits does not make much sense but is not any cause for concern at this point in the season. The No. 2 ranking is Syracuse's highest position since reaching No. 1 in 2008.
