SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Restaurants in Downtown Syracuse are once again inviting people to try something new.
AmeriCu Dining Week, or weeks actually, starts in the middle of February. The 25 participating downtown establishments are all offering three course meals for $25 or less.
In its seventh year, Dining Week continues to be a win-win for the restaurant owners and their patrons.
"I think across the nation, you're really seeing people change their mentality and realize the importance of buying and shopping and patronizing their local businesses,” said Mericke Treier, Downtown committee Executive Director.
"As a business owner, you look for every opportunity to introduce you business to not your every day crowd. We have sort of a captive audience if you will, especially at lunch time with people who are sort of limited to walking to us and downtown is sort of a destination kind of place," said Steve Morrisson, The Mission owner and chef.
If you want to want to make downtown your destination during Dining Week, it runs February 15th through the 29th.
