BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- If you've been laboring to find a job, the New York State Department of Labor might be able to help.
Eight career fairs were held across the State Thursday, with more than 270 businesses looking to fill thousands of positions. This is the 14th year the Department of Labor has sponsored a state-wide expo.
In Binghamton, job seekers flocked to the State Office Building to connect with dozens of employers. Health care, government, manufacturing and retail were just some of the fields represented, many of which are looking for workers to fill a variety of positions.
"CDL-A, CDL-B truck drivers, we do have warehouse positions open, selectors and loaders, we do have the Maine driver training institute for people looking to get their Class-A, Class-B licenses, we also have inside positions such as customer service," said Jim O’Shea, recruiting manager for Maines.
