ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Students at Fayetteville-Manlius High School are heading down to Orlando to compete in a national competition.

The Science Olympiad team and its coaches left Thursday to battle dozens of teams in about 25 different events. The events range from chemistry to biology and physics to building.

Students have been studying and preparing for this competition for months and they say they get a lot of support from their coaches, teachers and parents.

"This is our coach's last year, so we're expecting, hopefully, big things to have happen. Hopefully a top 10 finish and I guess, all of us to have fun, too, because it's in Orlando, Florida," said team captain Elliot Tan.
