Oswego County to conduct spraying for mosquitoes Tuesday night
OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- Aerial spraying for mosquitoes in Oswego County is scheduled Tuesday tonight.
About 10,000 acres will be sprayed between U.S. Route 11 in Central Square and State Route 49, up to, but not including, the Village of Constantia and the shoreline of Oneida Lake.
Spraying will not take place over Oneida Lake.
This includes areas where a mosquito tested positive for EEE last week, which was the first discovery of the virus this year in Oswego County.
Health officials say residents may wish to stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed for one hour after aerial spraying.
