Spitzer denies link to recently busted prostitution ring
Kristin Davis
NEW YORK -- Another high-end prostitution ring is broken up in Manhattan, and a spokesman for Eliot Spitzer is squashing a report in Thursday's New York Post that the former governor was a client.
The Post cites anonymous sources who say financial documents and other evidence show Spitzer regularly patronized Wicked Models.
Prosecutors said the woman in charge of the ring is 32-year-old Kristin Davis, who claims Spitzer was a client. They said she shut down her four websites and tried to leave the country as authorities closed in.

Spitzer's attorney said the former governor was not a client of Kristin Davis or Wicked Models.
Police said residents at Davis' Manhattan apartment building tipped them off to her alleged prostitution ring -- which prosecutors said employed 15 high-priced call girls.
Her lawyer denies the allegations and said Davis earned her money as a former hedge fund worker.
Davis pleaded not guilty to money laundering and promoting prostitution. She is being held on $2 million bail.
