STAMFORD, N.Y. -- State Police release more details about Thursday's shooting in Delaware County. Autopsy results determined Dale Rossman, 41, killed himself during a confrontation with police.

Investigators say Rossman got into an argument and shot Connie Merwin, 35, at her Grand Gorge home. She is expected to recover.

Police found Rossman a short time later as he drove to his home in Stamford. They said he got out of his truck and pointed a gun at a trooper.

The officer fired, but the investigation shows the shot that killed Rossman came from his own gun.
