Schumer reacts to Hillary
NEW YORK -- On Saturday, New York's junior senator said thank you to her 18 million supporters and on Sunday New York's senior senator, one of those 18 million, said he has a mixture of emotions.
“Now as most of you know, I was a Hillary supporter. I was the first senator to endorse Senator Clinton, and (laughs) the last off her bandwagon. And I am sad that she didn't win, but I am excited over Barack Obama's candidacy,” said Schumer.
Hillary Clinton officially ended her historic presidential campaign this weekend. She did so by asking her supporters to shift their loyalty to her onetime rival and help elect Barack Obama as the next President of the United States.
