Military training continues in Oneida County
ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Military training continues at the New York State Preparedness Center at the former Oneida County Airport.
Members of the 206th Military Police Company were on site Wednesday conducting room-to-room combat training, as well as training with Armored Security Vehicles. The company is based out of Latham and says the short distance to Oriskany allows them to spend less time traveling and more time training.

"It's very important. Everybody knows the current world situation and the National Guard reserve component units are deployed all the time and we have to keep up on our tasks," said Captain Kevin D. Manion.
The company will continue these sessions through Friday.
