Preliminary lab results show traces of Legionella bacteria were found in the complex's hot water system. Residents have been provided with bottled water while workers continue to flush the water tanks.

Eight people at the complex have been infected with Legionnaires disease and one of them died.

Legionnaires is a severe form of pneumonia that can be fatal if left untreated. Symptoms include high fever, chills and cough.
