The Parade of Homes
ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The 2008 Parade of Homes kicked off this weekend in the Country Meadow neighborhood in Clay. Ten homes by area builders and designers are open to the public.

More than 20,000 people are expected to walk through the homes over the next two weeks. They feature the latest in home luxury, including home theaters and vertical spas.

One of these homes could run you an average of $350,000, but they are all energy star compliant. People come from all over to look for different design and decorating ideas for their own homes.

"I'm just getting ideas. I'm thinking about build down south, so I'm just getting an idea of what I wanna do, what kinda schemes I want. It's better than looking on the internet, basically. I mean, all you get is a floor plan on the internet as opposed to walking through the house and seeing what you're looking at on a floor plan,” said Ronald Jackson, Syracuse resident.

The Parade of Homes is open everyday through September 21st.
