Carmelo Anthony returns to the Dome
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse basketball legend Carmelo Anthony returned to the Carrier Dome Friday night. Anthony's Denver Nuggets are playing the Phoenix Suns in a pre-season tune-up before the NBA regular season kicks off in two weeks. He was joined by teammate Allan Iverson, plus former MVP Shaquille O'Neil of the Phoenix Suns.
But the star of the show is Carmelo, who left the Orange for the pros after leading Syracuse to the 2003 National Championship. Anthony says that even though he's been a professional for five years, Syracuse fans haven't forgotten him.

"You know, the fans when I was here were great. Even now. Not just here in Syracuse, but all over the world. You know, people who are Syracuse fans. You can be anywhere in the world and they'll say go SU and thank you for bringing that ring back,” Anthony said.
