SU basketball team hosts Ms. Orange Fan Luncheon
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Coach Jim Boeheim and the SU Basketball team hosted the 17th annual Ms. Orange Fan Luncheon Sunday. It benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York.

The luncheon was for ladies only, and about 600 of them came out to the Oncenter Sunday to support the cause.

There were plenty of opportunities to mingle with Boeheim and the players and grab some autographs, and as an added bonus, the players were auctioned off to the highest bidders.

The guys joined the winners at their tables for the remainder of the luncheon, but the women weren't the only ones who walked away smiling.

"We really enjoy it, the players like this. We have a lot of fun here and kids benefit. That's the biggest thing. We're going to help a lot of kids get a great wish because we're here for a couple hours. It's a great event,” said Jim Boeheim, SU Basketball Coach.

The luncheon sells out every year and this time around organizers expect to raise more than $65,000 to grant kids' wishes.
