Hundreds take part in Sarah Palin protest
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Women from all over the area gathered together in Syracuse's Clinton Square for a "Sarah Palin doesn't speak for me" photo shoot.

The idea originated in Rochester, where more than 350 women posed with their anti-Palin signs for pictures.

Shoot organizers decided to add a more positive tone to the shoot by adding an Obama does speak for me picture.

They also had to face Sarah Palin supporters who showed up downtown to voice their opinions as well.

Organizers intended for the photo shoot to be a demonstration of their right to freedom of speech, so they say it was nice to hear from both sides of the race.

"I think that Sarah Palin speaks for a lot of women and she speaks for the right to life for the unborn,” said John Pellegrino, Sarah Palin supporter.

"Just because she's a woman doesn't mean that she's going to stick up for our values and what we believe in,” said Monique Ritter, organizer and Obama supporter.

Organizers hope the Clinton Square photo shoot will be part of a national video campaign for women against Sarah Palin.
