MOHAWK VALLEY, N.Y. -- In the 24th District, what was expected to be a relatively easy win for Democrat incumbent Michael Arcuri turned out to be anything but. With 98 percent of precincts reporting, Arcuri holds a lead of less than 2,000 votes over republican challenger Richard Hanna.

Hanna says that's not nearly enough for him to concede.

"Crazier things have happened, we're only a couple of points down and out of 200 and something thousand votes to be within four or five or six thousand votes of an incumbent in a year like this, I think that that is something to be pleased with,” Hanna said.

"We have a comfortable lead, we still have some absentees that need to be counted, but with support like this I am very confident we are going to do this," Arcuri said.
