Albany Diocese closing parishes
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Catholics in Delaware and Otsego Counties are learning this weekend that some of their local churches are closing.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany announced 33 worship sites will close their doors because of low attendance and a shortage of priests.
The closures are all part of the "Plan to BE Church", which has been in the works for the last 2 and a half years.
