FLORIDA, N.Y. -- A college student died Tuesday after a one-car crash on the Thruway in the Town of Florida in Montgomery County.

State Police said Michael Shea, 21, of Prospect, Connecticut, was returning to school at SUNY Morrisville when the car skidded off the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its roof.

Shea died at the scene.
