Beer on tap at the New York State Fairgrounds
ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Thousands gathered for what was on tap at the State Fairgrounds; samples of Central New York's finest beers.
More than 60 brewers served up their best to the area's beer enthusiasts Saturday.Traditional stouts and ales, alongside fruit-flavored and wheat beers were offered.
Organizers say the event is all about exposure for independent breweries.

“These breweries come from all over New York State and from outside New York State and it’s just a great event for the small brewer and the New York State Brewers Association in promoting their product,” said Bill Newman, Vice President of CNY Brewfest Inc.
About 3,500 people were expected to attend the two-session event.
