Man sits on roof to raise money
CANTON, N.Y. -- Raising money on a rooftop. A North Country business owner faced frigid temperatures as a fundraiser for the Potsdam Humane Society.

Lucas Manning from the Partridge Café in Canton is spent 12 hours on the roof Friday. His efforts raised more than $3,000, which fell short of his $5,000 goal, but the humane society says they're thrilled with the result. The money will go toward the shelter's campaign to raise $250,000 by the end of June to break ground on its new facility.

"Any kind of activity like this is just wonderful for us. Lucas was very creative, he adopted a cat from us a while ago and he was so creative to come up with this idea and then to be able to do it in this weather," said Jackie Pinover from the Potsdam Humane Society.
