HORNELLSVILLE, N.Y. -- A Town of Hornellsville man arrested this week for allegedly supplying beer to minors is a coroner for Steuben County.

The charges stem from a party at a cabin in Canisteo on March 15th, where 12 people were arrested for underage drinking. Michael Powers, 51, owns the cabin, and the sheriff's office has confirmed he is the same Michael Powers who serves as Steuben County coroner.

The sheriff's office said Powers supplied a half keg of beer for the party. He is charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and could face more charges in the future.
