Funeral services for Maria Zobniw
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Hundreds of people packed into the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church Wednesday to say goodbye to Maria Zobniw. Zobniw was one of the 13 people shot and killed by Jiverly Wong in Binghamton last Friday.
She was a caseworker and immigration counselor at the American Civic Association. Maria was also described as the face of the Ukrainian community who was in charge putting on events like the ethnic festival and the flag raising on Ukrainian Day.
