CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- A woman wanted in Florida in the death of her own child has been arrested in Upstate New York.

State Police say Christal Giachetti, 30, was located near Mount Upton in Chenango County on Friday. She was taken into custody and is now waiting to be extradited back to Volusia County, Florida, where she faces one count of aggravated manslaughter of a child.

According to Volusia County Sheriff's Department, Giachetti was in Mount Upton visiting relatives. They believe she's responsible for the drowning death of her 4-month old boy who died back on April 6th.

During questioning, authorities say Giachetti admitted to putting the child in the bathtub and forgetting he was there.
