A Syracuse man admitted to driving drunk and running over his girlfriend back in December.

Joseph Bertrand pleaded guilty Wednesday to vehicular manslaughter and DWI charges in connection with the death of Michele Lozipone.

Deputies say Lozipone was riding in a car with Bertrand when the two got into a argument.

Lozipone got out of the car and started walking home and Bertrand hit and killed her with the car.

Bertrand will be sentenced later this month to one to three years in prison.
