More than 7’ of snow in parts of Oswego County
Severe lake effect has left Oswego County under a state of emergency. There is more than 7 feet of snow in some places. Some areas have picked up as much as two feet of fresh snow. After a brief pause in the storm that lake effect band will shift back and hit the county all over again. It is expected to dump another one to two feet of snow overnight.

A no unnecessary travel advisory is also in effect for Oswego, Lewis and Oneida Counties. The same advisory is in effect for Onondaga County where some more significant snow started to fall this afternoon, making for sloppy driving conditions. But the accumulation is minimal compared to areas north. Officials in Madison County are also asking drivers to stay off the roads.

Here is a look at some of the snow totals Oswego County is dealing with as of this Thursday afternoon.

  • Parish – 7’ +
