SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Bruno Schirippa has operated comedy clubs both nationally and locally for 30 years. A few months ago the Wise Guys Comedy Stimulus Tour was started to attract people to venues that they might not ordinarily visit.

Every weekend a variety of well known and new comedians have helped attract people to restaurants and hotels. Of course the acts give people a good time and help the venues that host the acts.

"We give them an opportunity to keep their people employed, stay on the map, and not only generate the business revenue from that weekend but also the peripheral business. As we bring people that have never been to that establishment to it, and they say ‘wow this is a great place, I never thought of coming here, we're coming back,’" Schirripa said.

Schirripa says so far the stimulus tour has been a success.
