Hundreds attend Alzheimer's Association benefit
BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Hundreds turned up at the Traditions at the Glen in Johnson City for "A Night To Remember." It's the name of the event to help benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

It was billed as the ultimate girl's night out, including massages, facials and manicures. A silent auction was also held, with all of the money going to the Alzheimer's Association for services in the Southern Tier.

It's the first year the group has thrown the event and they say they're overwhelmed by the support of the community.

"We thought with the economy with the way it is, people need to get out and relax a little bit and de-stress. This will be a fun night out for the girls, we went with the idea and obviously, it's successful," said Jane Hudreck, Alzheimer’s Association Regional Director.

The Alzheimer's Association in the Southern Tier provides care consultations, help-line and educational services for those with the disease and their families.
