Fundraiser held for ACA victims
BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- A local middle school raised money to benefit victims of the ACA shootings Friday by jamming to rock tunes in a tournament of the video game, Rock Band.

The staff of Maine -Endwell Middle School organized the friendly competition and gave away prizes donated by local businesses.

The proceeds from the tournament will go to the children of Marc and Marie Bernard, who were killed in the ACA shootings nearly two months ago.

"We learned about these two children that lost both their parents and knew that they were gonna be coming to our school next year. And basically, the teachers and the staff wanted to do something, we were wondering what we could do, and we thought of this,” said Tom Burkhardt, fundraiser organizer.

All of the proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the Bernard children.
