Chancellor starts state wide tour
NEW YORK STATE -- The new Chancellor of SUNY campuses has started her first day on the job and she plans to visit all 64 SUNY campuses in her first 100 days.
Nancy Zimpher is the12th Chancellor of SUNY and says she plans to make the school a public higher education model, not only for the nation, but for the world.
"The size and diversity the State University of New York has a great deal to offer to this state’s future economically and the quality of life and the culture, all of which we bring great capacity to and had for years and we want to grow that capacity," said Zimpher.

Zimpher was appointed to her position last June. The 64 campus tour officially kicks off on Wednesday and is expected to go through Labor Day.
