Woman's body discovered in Ithaca park
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Police in the Town of Ithaca are investigating an apparent homicide after a bicyclist discovered a woman's body in a park Wednesday morning.
The woman, who is believed to be approximately 30 years old, was found in Cass Park around 8 a.m. Her body was discovered near a wooded hiking trail.
Cass Park sits along the southern shore of Cayuga Lake.

Police are not releasing the woman's identity, but say they are treating it as a homicide case.
Those who live near Cass Park say they are stunned by what appears to be a violent crime in their neighborhood.
A neighbor tells News 10 Now this homicide may be a connection between a house fire in the area last night. The fire happened just before 11 p.m. along Taughannock Boulevard.
Police are not saying whether or not there is a connection between the two. They are planning a news conference Thursday afternoon where they will release more details.
