ILION, N.Y. -- A Herkimer County man faces several charges after Ilion police say he fought with officers and damaged the police station.

Police say Anthony Chabrier, 38, of Herkimer was arrested after someone called 911 reporting a drunk driver. Investigators say they found Chabrier passed out in his car in a parking lot around 4:30 Sunday morning while it was still running.

When he was taken into custody, police say fought with two officers, injuring one of their ankles. Chabrier also allegedly kicked a large hole in the wall of the Ilion Police Department. He's now charged with D.W.I., Assault, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Mischief.

Chabrier was sent to the Herkimer County Jail on 20-thousand dollars bail.
