"Parkway Sundays" now underway
LIVERPOOL, N.Y. -- We may not have had the nicest weather Sunday morning, but people still hit the Onondaga Lake Parkway for a summer tradition. "Parkway Sundays" started for another season in Liverpool.

For the next eight weeks, the Parkway will close from 9 a.m. until noon so people can bike, skate, jog and walk along the two-mile stretch.

"I think it's neat because it provides a place where people can ride uninhibited by traffic, and it will get people out, and if they try it here maybe they'll go out on roads other days, and get healthier,” said Janel Bedard, bicyclist.
