TROY, N.Y. -- After kicking off a 64 campus tour of the entire SUNY system, Chancellor Nancy Zimpher has announced phase two of a plan for the SUNY system that she says will guide the schools in future development.
Zimpher spoke at Hudson Valley Community College and she says there needs to be an advanced way of looking at college education to benefit present and future college students.
"What we are trying to say is that through all of our conversations, we must stay focused on our students. Who's coming to SUNY and what happens when they get here and where do they go when they graduate," Zimpher said.
The next phase for Zimpher is implementing the strategic plan across the state. That is scheduled to start in February.
