WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Congressman Bill Owens has been named to two committees in the House of Representatives. Owens will serve on the Armed Services and Homeland Security committees.

Owens says his seats on the committee will be beneficial to the 23rd District because of Fort Drum and its lengthy border with Canada.
