ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A new medical facility has been unveiled in the greater Syracuse area. The Upstate Bone and Joint Center held a ribbon cutting Tuesday morning for its new 100,000 square foot facility in DeWitt.
It's one of only a few comprehensive bone and joint centers in the state, with the other closest facility in Albany.
Before the center opened, patients often weren't able to get all their bone and joint needs taken care of under one roof.
"They get to come here, they park for free, walk in, pretty much whatever their musculoskeletal needs are, we can take care of them," said Brian Harley, Upstate Medical University Associate Professor.
Upstate Bone and Joint Center employs about 175 people.
