SYRACUSE, N.Y. --
"Don't settle, for your heart beats 150 times a day and you can make an ocean with the blood coursing through your veins, so make waves with your life..."Students at Syracuse University came together through poetry and prayer to honor those who lost their loved ones in last week's earthquake.
The Haitian American Student Association co-sponsored a candlelight vigil, which included prayers for the dead and a moment of silence.
Students came back to campus this week and have been busy organizing clothing and food drives to help the relief efforts. There are also a number of other fundraising efforts on campus. The students say because they can't be down there helping first hand, they want to do as much as they can from here.
