Students at Syracuse University came together through poetry and prayer to honor those who lost their loved ones in last week's earthquake.

The Haitian American Student Association co-sponsored a candlelight vigil, which included prayers for the dead and a moment of silence.

Students came back to campus this week and have been busy organizing clothing and food drives to help the relief efforts. There are also a number of other fundraising efforts on campus. The students say because they can't be down there helping first hand, they want to do as much as they can from here.
