LEWIS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Lewis County man is seriously injured after he is thrown from his snowmobile and then hit by another one.

Sheriff's deputies say the incident occurred Saturday afternoon when Gregory Muratore was riding a snowmobile on Potter Road in North Osceola.

Muratore was ejected from his snowmobile. As he tried to get up from the trail, he was hit by another snowmobile. He was airlifted to University Hospital in Syracuse where he is in critical condition.
