SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse's men's basketball team has climbed to number two in the latest AP top 25 college rankings. The Orange jumped up one spot after wins last week against Cincinnati and Providence.

This is the highest regular season ranking for the team in 20 years and fans are certainly excited.

"They've done a great job after losing Flynn and a couple of other guys graduating last year. To rebuild instantaneously and compete at the highest level the following year, because I know expectations this year weren't very great, but they've really exceeded them so far," said SU grad student Ian Guss.

"They've done like a phenomenal job this season. It's been a really good season. I know that everyone here at the university and just all the Syracuse fans are really, really proud of them. So we're excited for what's to come for sure," said SU freshman Chloe Slade.

Syracuse's next game is Wednesday at home against UConn.
